Forestry Dept. Targets to Add RTH This Year

Jakarta Forestry Dept. is targeting to acquire a 20-hectare width land this year. The land will be designated to a green open space (RTH) and a cemetery.

Fund for land acquisition will spend Rp 450 billion. It is divided into two, that are for RTH and cemetery

Djafar Muchlisin, Head of Jakarta Forestry Dept. said 200 files have been received for land acquisition. Currently, these files are still under research stage of document and location.

"Fund for land acquisition will spend Rp 450 billion. It is divided into two, that are for RTH and cemetery," he stated, Saturday (2/4).

RPTRA Construction in Central Jakarta Constrained by Land Availability

His side has prepared Rp 100 billion for cemetery and Rp 350 billion for RTH. It is hoped able to acquire the land as wide as 200 hectares.

"With that fund, we actually can't specify how many hectares of land, because each land price is different than other lands. But we could achieve the target of 20 hectares," he stressed.

According to him, if there are lands that can be acquired, fund will be increased from the next amendment City Budget (APBD). Nevertheless, land acquisition process must be done carefully.

"And now, we already have the Land Acquisition Technical Management Unit. When we received letter, we will do research in the field," he closed.
